Sustainable Architecture Helps Out The CIty Of West Haven
December 20, 2021
The Platt Tech Sustainable Architecture program was contacted by a representative from the City of West Haven to provide design services for areas on Kimberly Avenue and by Jimmies . Over a span of a few weeks our students worked on several designs and than presented their concepts to various members of the city.
The students plan is to redevelop Kimberly Ave with a small ice cream/hots dogs and burgers type of snack shack and redo space along the river for fishing. The area will also have new parking, a small park, and a small dog park, The other location, by Jimmies, is to create a new wildlife observation platform overlooking the marsh on Captain Thomas Boulevard.
