Platt Technical High School offers the unique opportunity for students to earn a high school diploma while also earning trade certification, credentials, and the ability to simultaneously prepare for college and a skilled trade career.

Platt Tech provides opportunities to participate in Advanced Placement (AP) courses, UCONN Early College Experience (ECE), Work-based Learning (WBL) for juniors and seniors, 14 CIAC athletic programs, many clubs and activities, and all of this at our new, state of the art facility.

Students who attend Platt Technical High School already have the advantage of self-motivation, family support, and the intention to prepare themselves to be successful, self-reliant, and as contributors to their independence and well-being.

Our mission and vision derive from the core values developed by the school improvement committee. It is to provide the opportunities, expert instruction, and guidance to ensure our students accomplish their goals. Their journey begins here.

Core Values

Culture of Learning: Platt Technical High School will be a place where the climate provides personalized learning for every student, with a focus on improving the instructional core. We will raise the level of student achievement through a relentless focus on school culture and climate.

Culture of Collaboration: Platt Technical High School will be a place where all stakeholders work together and take ownership in developing and sustaining a vibrant student-centered learning environment. We will work collectively to increase the level of students’ engagement and connectedness with their school community.

Culture of Excellence: Platt Technical High School will be a place where academic, personal, and professional excellence is an expectation for all and a place where everyone is treated with respect, fairness, and appreciation. We will develop a cultural belief that all students can learn and achieve at high levels. We will celebrate our successes.

It is my pleasure and privilege to serve as principal.
