Platt Tech was visited by the NASA HUNCH Team
September 29, 2017
On September 26, 2017, Platt Tech was visited by the NASA HUNCH Team to kick of another year of cooperation and hard work. Bill Gibbs, and his wife Kathy Gibbs, met with a new group of Platt seniors to review the program, tour the manufacturing facility, begin the process of manufacturing a new case for transport on the International Space Station. The students were asked to sign the box itself. There is a high level of expertise required to manufacture for NASA. However, Platt students, under the direction of Department Head Dave Tuttle and Instructor Greg AmEnde, have the knowledge and skills to manufacture industry standard CNC manufacturing. Remember, these students are still in High School! Congratulations to the Manufacturing Technology shop.
