This year Platt Tech was proudly represented when two teams presented their projects on Monday March 11th. They were rewarded for their work on Saturday March 16th. Both teams placed in the top 80% and earned 2nd honors with both teams winning awards.
Victoria St. Peter, Alyssa Ciarleglio, and Jojo Rivera won two awards for their Sustainable Natural Disaster Relief Housing. The first award was from The Connecticut Architecture Foundation – The William M. Mack AIA Award and came with a $500 gift certificate to Barnes and Nobles. The second award was for Excellence In a Technical High School.
Alain Bolduc, Scott Clark and Adam Soltis earned an invitation to enter the Stockholm Junior Water Prize Competition and they each won a free class at Tunxis Community College in a brand new environmental management program, which has a value of $600 for each student. Their project was a model of Flood Remediation In-House Dehumidification System designed to dry out a house quickly after a flood to prevent long-term damage to a house.
Also a Platt Tech shout out to Ms. Bruno, Mr. Sodins, Ms. Stamp and Mr. Lemma who helped the students with their projects this year.
Congratulates to all!
