At Platt Tech, Panther pride grows stronger when families, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members come together in support of our students. The PFAO is dedicated to creating an inclusive community where connections are built, collaboration is encouraged, and everyone feels welcome to contribute. We aim to support students, celebrate the people who guide them, and provide opportunities that enrich school life and strengthen the Panther community.
Our meetings are more than information sessions. They are spaces where community happens. Each gathering is a chance to connect with families, meet school leaders, hear from alumni mentors, and discover ways to make a difference. You will gain insight into student opportunities, class initiatives, clubs, athletics, and school events, while also helping shape new traditions that carry Panther pride forward.
Meetings begin at 6 PM and are open to all. You can join us in the Multipurpose Room (unless otherwise noted) or online, making it easy to be part of the conversation wherever you are.
Together for Platt Tech: Celebrating Community, Supporting Students, Creating Opportunity. Join us to connect, inspire, and help shape the future of Platt Tech!

How the PFAO Supports Platt Tech
As a new organization, the PFAO is proud to build on the foundation of the former Parent Faculty Organization (PFO) while expanding our reach to do even more for the Platt Tech community. Together with families, alumni, and community members, we strive to create opportunities that support students, faculty, and staff across academics, trades, athletics, and activities while strengthening Panther pride.
Event and Activity Support
The PFAO strives to partner with families, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members to support events and initiatives that bring our community together and showcase the talents of Platt Tech students. This includes school-wide activities, athletics, student organizations, and class initiatives. We are committed to supporting student-led efforts, starting small and growing as our resources increase.
Supporting the Trades
Trade programs are a vital part of the Platt Tech experience, and the PFAO strives to support them alongside academics, athletics, student activities, faculty, and staff. We look for ways to highlight the skills and accomplishments of our trade programs, provide encouragement and resources, and create opportunities for alumni to return as guest speakers, mentors, and role models who can inspire today’s students with their real-world experience.
Fundraising for Opportunities
The PFAO strives to organize fundraisers that directly benefit the Platt Tech community. Funds help support class initiatives, clubs, athletics, student activities, and projects that enrich the experience of students, faculty, and staff.
Recognition and Appreciation
The PFAO strives to recognize the achievements and dedication of the Platt Tech community. In the past, efforts have included senior awards and exploring ways to honor faculty and staff. As we grow, we hope to expand recognition opportunities in ways that highlight the many different contributions of students, faculty, and staff across academics, trades, athletics, and activities.
Curricular Enhancements
The PFAO hopes to provide small grants in the future as our resources grow. These could help teachers and students bring creative ideas to life, such as supporting field trips, inviting guest speakers, or developing innovative classroom projects that enrich learning experiences for both students and faculty.
Volunteerism
The PFAO strives to welcome families, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members to lend their time and energy as volunteers. Whether chaperoning, staffing events, helping with concessions, or sharing skills and expertise, volunteers strengthen the entire Platt Tech community.
Family and Community Involvement
The PFAO strives to create many ways for families and community members to get involved. From concession stands at football and volleyball games to other school events, there are always opportunities to pitch in and be part of the Panther community.
