Class of 2024 Senior Week Information

The Senior Class Trip to Brownstone has been approved for Wednesday June 12th, 9:00 am Departure from Platt Tech and 3:30 Return to Platt Tech with Graduation Rehearsal ahead of time. 

Senior week events will begin on Friday, June 7th, 2024 at 9:30 A.M. in the Platt Tech Gymnasium.
Students receiving awards will receive an invitation from the counseling department.  All seniors and instructors will be attending the ceremony. Parents of award recipients are invited to attend.

*Students please wear professional attire or shop uniforms for the ceremony.
Students will then attend a Pizza Lunch across the Street at the YMCA for some final time together. Students who have transportation provided may leave at 1:00pm this day.  

Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal will begin on Monday June 10th, 2024 with an 8:00 am Departure to Southern Connecticut State University. Students will return to Platt Tech at 11:30 am where they will be dismissed for the day, if all graduation obligations have been met.  Students must check into Shop homeroom by 7:20 AM each day in order to participate in graduation rehearsal. If a student is not able to make rehearsal they must leave a Voicemail for Mr. Ryan at 203-783-5304.

Graduation Rehearsal will continue on Tuesday, June 11th, Wednesday, June 12th, and Thursday, June 13th. All Students who have met their graduation obligations (Dues, Chromebook Returns, Athletic Equipment) may leave early following the conclusion of graduation rehearsal. Tuesday, Caps & Gowns will be distributed to all who have met their obligations.

On Wednesday, June 12th, mandatory rehearsal will occur between 7:30-8:50 am. At 9:00 am those students who have signed up to attend the Senior Trip to Brownstone Park will depart. Students Dues must be paid in full in order to attend. Cost is $30.00 to help defray the cost and lunch is included. Those students who are not attending the Senior Class trip to Brownstone Park will be asked to report to a centralized location with supervision provided until the end of the school day.

Thursday June 13th. The commencement exercises for the Class of 2024 will be held at Lyman Auditorium at Southern Connecticut State University, 501 Crescent Street, New Haven, CT 06515 at 6:00 p.m. SHARP.  . Students must arrive by 4:30 pm. We ask that parents and guests be seated no later than 5:50 p.m.  

Each family will receive seven (7) tickets for the commencement ceremony.  Aside from the seven (7) tickets assigned to each family, each student will receive a complimentary Graduation Lawn Sign to commemorate their commencement. Tickets and Caps and Gowns will be distributed on Tuesday June 11th, 2024.
